Biography
Chef Elijah is using his experience in the catering industry to champion a series of community food initiatives supporting vulnerable people. In 2012, he started Chefs for Change Ghana Foundation which arranged for surplus food from the hospitality industry to be used to provide food for people with mental health issues, pensioners and children in need. Elijah later left his job as a head chef to set up Food for All Ghana, West Africa’s first food bank. Since launching in 2015, the organisation has recovered more than $10,000 worth of food products to feed and support almost 5000 beneficiaries across five regions in Ghana. It has also established new and extended existing partnerships with supermarkets, farmers and hotels, and has created a number of community food farms. Elijah’s vision is to grow the number of community food banks operated by Food for All Ghana from three to 30 across Ghana and West Africa in the next three years.

Chef Elijah Amoo Addo Is The Founder Of Food For All Africa Programme, A Social Enterprise Which Operates West Africa's First Community Food Support In Ghana
Chef Elijah Addo has worked and partnered with hotels and restaurants such as Chase, +233 Jazz bar, Alisa hotel, Burger and Relish and many others.
He was the acting general secretary of the Greater Accra chefs association and Ghana chefs association for two years.
He is the inspiring founder of Chefs for Change Ghana foundation,an NGO that promotes local culinary profession in Ghana and also promotes Ghanaian ingredients in meeting international standards
He is the regional director for Aregala Hellas, A global chef’s brigade also known as “Chefs without Borders.” Chef Elijah as also known by the public is a social commentator, father, caterer, food stylist and food brand promoter.
He has appeared on many TV and radio programs that centers around food and society development.
He has worked for corporate bodies such as Nestle, Finatrade, GADCO, Ghana Cocoa Board, GhOne, Insel communication and many others.
Chef Elijah has through his foundation fed over 50,000 street kids, aged, mentally challenged and vulnerable in society.
